HEALTH EDUCATION AND STUNTING SCREENING IN FK UNPAS ASSISTANCE VILLAGE

Students and Lecturers of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Pasundan University carry out routine visits to foster villages in the context of health education and stunting screening through weight and height measurement activities on December 19, 2021, in Cilame Village, Kutawaringin District, Soreang, Bandung Regency.

This outreach activity contained material delivered on how to use a good mask and how to wash hands based on the WHO’s 6-step hand washing, with the aim of increasing public knowledge and taking an active role in this Covid-19 pandemic, which encourages us to always wash our hands and always wear a mask every time you go out.

After the implementation of health education activities for children, FK UNPAS students conducted an examination of several children. This is intended to find out how many children are stunted (malnutrition), ideal and overweight. After the data is taken, the data is managed so that children who experience stunting (malnutrition) or if someone is overweight can be of concern to various parties.

All of these activities have been successfully carried out by students of the Faculty of Medicine, Pasundan University. This positive activity has been welcomed and fully supported by the Pasundan University Faculty of Medicine, Cahaya Hati Al – Kautsar Foundation, Pasundan University, and all the people involved in this activity. It is a great hope that all residents of the village assisted by FK UNPAS have good knowledge about health.
