BANDUNG, unpas.ac.id – Students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pasundan (FK Unpas) are back to participate in the Docfest or Doctor Festival this year. Docfest is a Medical Expo accompanied by special performances from every student representative of the Faculty of Medicine in the city of Bandung and doctors. This performance was used as an event for the 2024 Docfest Cup.
“Not only students but doctors in the city of Bandung also provide special performances such as traditional dances, angklung or modern music such as bands,” said FK Unpas student, Rahmadhea Wiwi, Thursday (10/7/2024).
Rahma said the purpose of participating in Docfest was to develop the interests and talents of FK students so that they could contribute to cultural preservation efforts. Especially in accordance with Unpas, which is to preserve Sundanese culture.
“Docfest 2024 features Sundanese art collaborations, including dances from West Java, banner dances and live music of Bandung songs from Yura Yunita played by the FK Unpas band and accompanied by modern dances,” he said.
He said that before performing, the FK students practiced first. Although the practice coincides with the exam week, they can adjust it.
“The practice schedule is informed not impromptu so that students can estimate the priority scale between studying for the exam and practicing Docfest. For example, if there is practice this week and there is an exam, then prepare for the exam in advance so that on the day of practice you can spend about 2 hours,” he explained.
Second Winner of Best Performance
The process will not betray the results, the students of FK Unpas won second place in the 2024 Docfest Cup. This is a pride for FK Unpas. This achievement is a clear proof of the hard work and creativity of students in the field of art and culture.
“I feel very proud and happy because I can show my best. Alhamdulillah, it is one of the two best universities to perform at the 2024 Docfest Cup,” he said.
Rahma hopes that for the next year, the interest of FK Unpas students to participate in this Docfest activity is high. So that it can display even better and can bring a good image to the alma mater. (Rani)
